Garland
Garland is the kind of city where a car stays in the family. The streets around Downtown Garland, Duck Creek and south Garland near I-30 hold 3 Series, 5 Series and X5s from the E90, E60 and E70 years, W203 and W211 Mercedes, and a deep bench of Jettas, Passats, GTIs and B7 A4s that were bought used and are expected to reach 200,000 miles.
That ownership pattern produces a specific list of failures. E90 footwell modules fail after a careless jump start, E60 CAS units lose the key handshake, W211 SAM modules corrode, and Mk5 and Mk6 Volkswagens throw immobilizer and ABS faults that a parts-store scanner cannot read.
North Garland and the Firewheel side, along the PGBT and toward Rowlett, run newer: F30 and G20 BMWs, W205 C-Class, Q5 and Tiguan bought a few years old. Those bring battery registration, second keys and DSG and 8HP services.
The franchised service departments Garland drivers would use sit west along I-635 or north up US-75, and from south Garland that is a longer drive than SH-78 to us. We also quote a used or remanufactured module next to the new one, which is what keeps a 2008 BMW on the road for a Garland family.
Downtown Garland and the Duck Creek neighborhoods have the simplest trip: SH-78 southwest, which becomes Garland Road at the city line, past the lake turn-offs to Buckner Boulevard, roughly twelve minutes without rush-hour traffic. Centerville Road is the parallel option from south Garland and lands on Ferguson Road a few blocks from the door.
Firewheel and north Garland come down the PGBT to I-635, then south to the Northwest Highway exit and Ferguson Road, 20 to 25 minutes. Jupiter Road to Northwest Highway is a surface-street alternative when I-635 near the SH-78 interchange is jammed.
The Garland bench is older BMW and Volkswagen electronics. We program used and new FRM, CAS, DME and ABS units with ISTA, and run VAG component protection and immobilizer adaptation with ODIS. Mercedes cars arrive with SAM, ESL and EIS problems that XENTRY plus Abrites can solve without a dealer-ordered unit on every job.
Keys are the other big line. A Garland GTI, E90 or W204 that has only ever had one key is one lost key away from a flatbed, and adding a spare while the working key exists costs a fraction of an all-keys-lost job.
Distance and the age of the car. The franchised stores Garland drivers would use are west along I-635 or north on US-75, and a dealer is not set up to fit a used module to a fifteen-year-old 5 Series. We quote the module and the programming labor as separate ranges, with a reman or salvage unit on the sheet beside the new one.
Language matters too. Much of south Garland is Spanish-speaking, and the front desk explains fault findings and estimates in Spanish or English without a translator in the middle. The 2 years parts and 2 years labor, up to 24,000 miles, nationwide warranty covers used-module programming the same way it covers a new part.
A rideshare back to Downtown Garland is about fifteen minutes. The DART Blue Line stops at White Rock Station near the shop and runs north through Lake Highlands and LBJ/Skillman to Downtown Garland Station.
Most Garland work is done the same day. Diagnostic sessions take one to two hours, and a used-module job that needs the part sourced is scheduled once the part is in hand so the car makes a single trip down SH-78.

How booking works
Covered for 2 years parts and 2 years labor, up to 24,000 miles, nationwide
Questions
Usually yes. The E90 footwell module can be replaced with a used unit of the same part family and programmed to your VIN with ISTA, then coded for your lighting and window options. We quote the used and new routes side by side, and the 2 years parts and 2 years labor, up to 24,000 miles, nationwide warranty applies.
Yes. Mk5, Mk6 and Mk7 Volkswagens and B7 and B8 Audis that lost the immobilizer match after a cluster or ECU swap are adapted with ODIS, and component protection is cleared through the factory online process where the platform requires it. Bring every key and the original module if you still have it.
Twenty to twenty-five minutes most of the day: PGBT west to I-635, south to Northwest Highway, then Ferguson Road. Jupiter Road is the surface-street fallback. We open Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and north Garland drivers usually choose a mid-morning slot so the LBJ interchange has cleared before they set out.
Yes. The findings sheet and the estimate are explained in Spanish or English at the counter, and follow-up texts can be in either language. call or text (817) 765-6604 with the VIN and a short description of the fault and we will tell you what the diagnostic session covers before you drive over.
