Dallas, Denton & Collin Counties · about 20 minutes to the shop
Carrollton sits in the northwest corner of the county and we sit in the east, but I-635 connects the two in a single run, and the Carrollton cars that make the trip are the ones with a key, module or coding problem no closer shop would take.
Factory tools for eight brands, repairs covered by a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty
Carrollton
Carrollton has a clear shape. Korean Town, the run of Old Denton Road and Trinity Mills, is the commercial heart of the north side. Old Downtown Carrollton, with its square and the Green Line station, anchors the south. The Hebron streets in 75010 along the PGBT are the newest.
Korean Town business owners and the families around it favor leased and recently bought Mercedes and BMW: E-Class, GLC and GLE, 5 Series and X5. On the Mercedes side the work is EIS and ESL faults, SCN coding after a 722.9 conductor plate, and FBS-locked keys; on the BMW side it is FEM and BDC programming, keys and battery registration.
Old Downtown and the south Carrollton blocks near Belt Line keep an older European mix: Mk5 and Mk6 Jettas and GTIs, B7 and B8 A4s, E90 3 Series and W204 C-Class. Those bring immobilizer and cluster work, used FRM and ABS modules and the occasional component protection clearance after a used radio or ECU went in.
The franchised stores Carrollton drivers would use sit along I-35E, the Tollway and the LBJ corridor, generally closer than east Dallas. Owners make the longer drive for the things a service lane turns away: a used module to be programmed, or an all-keys-lost car that arrives on a flatbed.
Belt Line Road or Frankford Road east to I-635, then stay on I-635 as it bends south around the top of Dallas and leave at Northwest Highway; Ferguson Road runs south to the shop. Off-peak that is 25 to 30 minutes.
I-35E south through Downtown and I-30 east to Buckner is longer on the map but moves better in the late afternoon when the I-635 stretch between the Tollway and US-75 is at its worst.
Mercedes dominates. W212 and W213 E-Class and GLE cars with an EIS that will not recognize the key, an ESL that locks the column, or a 722.9 that needs a conductor plate and SCN coding arrive from the Old Denton Road side. XENTRY handles the coding, and Abrites covers the key side where FBS3 allows it; FBS4 keys are dealer-sourced.
BMW work from the same streets is FEM and BDC on F10 and G30 5 Series and X5s, plus spare keys. From south Carrollton the Audi and Volkswagen side brings ODIS and VCDS sessions for immobilizer adaptation, component protection and DSG mechatronic adaptation.
Service lanes work from a menu: new module, dealer labor, one figure. On a six-year-old GLE or a twelve-year-old Jetta that figure is hard to justify, and the independent answer is a used or remanufactured module with the programming labor quoted as its own range.
A second reason is the mixed driveway. A Korean Town household with an E-Class, an X5 and a Q5 gets XENTRY, ISTA and ODIS from one shop, in English or Spanish, with the 2 years parts and 2 years labor, up to 24,000 miles, nationwide warranty on programming as well as parts.
Rail is practical for south Carrollton: the Blue Line from White Rock Station into Downtown Dallas, then the Green Line north to Downtown Carrollton Station or Trinity Mills. A direct rideshare to Carrollton takes about half an hour.
Given the distance, we try to make it one trip. The VIN and symptoms come in by text, the likely module or key is confirmed before you set out, and the car is diagnosed, programmed and road-tested in the same visit whenever the part is on hand.

Questions
An EIS or ESL fault is the usual cause on W204, W212 and W166 cars, but XENTRY confirms it before anything is ordered. EIS and ESL replacement with programming runs $650–$1,900 depending on the unit and whether the keys can be reused. The car normally arrives by flatbed; call or text (817) 765-6604 to arrange the delivery time.
It is 30 to 35 minutes each way, so we plan it as a single visit: send the VIN and the fault, we confirm the part or key blank before you leave, and the programming is done while you wait or while you ride the train back.
Yes, where the platform permits it through the factory online process with ODIS, at $180–$320 per component. Some units are tied to the original car and cannot be released, and we check the part number first so you do not pay for a session that cannot succeed.
Yes. The 2 years parts and 2 years labor, up to 24,000 miles, nationwide warranty applies to every repair regardless of where the car lives, and because it is nationwide it covers a problem that shows up on a trip out of town. Programming labor is included, not just the part, which matters on module and key work.
